Today I went to Wal-Mart to look for some car maintenance products to keep my new Nissan clean. When I first headed to the car department, there were many isles of car products. All that I needed was car polish for the interior the only brand name that stood out was Armor All. I needed something that would keep the shine of my dashboard and the entire interior new looking.
I looked at the prices and couldn’t believe how pricey Armor All products were compared to the other products on the shelf. I then thought to myself that many products that are more money than the competitor are filled with more quality. They wanted 50 wipes for under $7, which I believe is way too much for wipes.
I decided to go with purchasing the wipes based solely on the brand name and the price. When I got home I headed to out to the driveway to start cleaning my car. I first washed the car and then waxed it to give it its nice sparkly shine. I then used rain ex on all the windows to help the flow of water on the windows when it rains.
I then got to the point of where I needed to polish up the inside. I went and got the Armor All wipes and read the directions on the container. The container said to apply the wipe directly to the surface and that it didn’t leave a greasy surface. It sure didn’t leave a greasy surface nor did it fully work and leave a nice shine.
The wipes were very hard to work with on wiping the dashboard due to the texture of that dashboard. As a result of not being able to wipe smoothly across the dashboard, you could see where the wipe missed the dashboard. It was very irritating because I had spent some time trying hard to wipe all the surfaces with these damn wipes.
Another complaint about the Armor All wipes is that my hands were disgusting after using them. They were greasy feeling and smelled horribly. The product says that it doesn’t leave a greasy feeling surface because it’s all on your hands! The next time I go to the store to purchase interior polish cleaner, I will do some research on the product beforehand.
I wold not recommend the Armor All original protectant wipes at all. They are a pain in the butt to deal with and your hands are disgusting after you are all done working with them. I would recommend using a microfiber towel and the spray polish for easier convenience!
