A wholesale club that has amazing prices is BJ’s Wholesale. When I first got my house, I was wondering of the many different ways to save money on grocery shopping. I thought of the many wholesale food clubs there were and I decided to investigate into the prices of membership. I first had looked into Sam’s Club because that was the closest to my house. Their membership cost was $40 a year. I thought that wasn’t too bad at all for an entire year membership. So, then I had made a trip to Sam’s Club to see what kind of products and the different brands they had.
When I had gone into Sam’s, I felt like it was another shopping trip to Walmart. Yes I know that they are owned together, but it was the gross disgusting feeling you get when you walk into a Walmart that hits yah. I then was asked to see my Sam’s club membership club card, so I told the woman that I wanted to see what the club had to offer. She told me that I must go to the customer service desk, so then I stood in that line for about 30 minutes. When I was able to walk around I walked the isles looking at the products. Many products were broken, damaged, or looked like they were returned. I swear it was like shopping at Walmart: long lines, rude customer service, and rude shoppers.
After seeing Sam’s Club for my own eyes, it was time to visit the next closest wholesale club: BJ’s Wholesale Club. I had looked into the membership price and it was $45, which was not too much different than Sam’s Club. The only MAJOR difference was everything!! I was able to talk to an associate at the customer service desk immediately and I can’t tell you how nice they were. They showed me the coupons that I would be receiving, what the membership included, and most of all let me look around the store at their products.
The man who had assisted me also told me they would offer me 14 months for the same $45 AND also gave me a $10 off coupon (when spending at least $20). Along with all these amazing benefits, BJ’s Wholesale offers members to use their BJ’s coupons along with manufacturer coupons per each item that is in the package. (For example, if it is a 2 pack of Listerine mouthwash, then you could use a BJ’s coupon plus 2 manufacturer coupons on top of that.) This has led me to save a lot of money on my everyday shopping needs!!!
Knowing these benefits and also the ability to buy fuel at cheap prices across the US, it was easy to make my final decision. I have had no problems with BJ’s Wholesale Club and I get mailed a book of coupons along with a magazine every month (filled with more coupons and ideas). I love BJ’s Wholesale Club and recommend it to everyone for their everyday shopping!!!

I love BJ’s and Costco. They have some really good prices. The only thing I don’t like there is that you have to buy in bulk a lot of times.

I don’t have a BJ’s near me. Is there something similar so I can get these great savings? I live in Maine.

I like BJ’s the best because you can use both BJ’s coupons plus any manufactor’s coupons that you have. As a mom, I like to take advantage of any discounts that I can, and this store seems to have decent prices too!

Yes. I agree with your thoughts on BJ’s wholesale, but with so many wholesale and discount stores which one to choose? Which one is the best?

BJ’s is great. I got some great deals on all inclusive cruise packages through them. I also saved big money on my computers and flat screen tv’s. Great place and pretty decent pricing.

I hear what you’re saying about BJ’s, but I prefer Costco and have been a member there for six years.

I like BJ’s but since I moved to the west coast there isn’t one near me. Is there another similar type of store out here? I heard Fred’s was cool, but more like the Dollar Store or Family Dollar. If someone could give me some help here that would be great.

There is also Sam’s Club out on the West Coast but I hate how they make you feel dirty and not wanted, just like Walmart. Remember they are partners with Wal Mart!!
