I’m senior citizen and had used BUDGET once Arizona to Montana. There were issues and he said I’ll make it right with you when you rent the next truck, which we had planned to do. When we went back for the second truck, NEW owner who did not even know who were past customers. After much negotiation we did get the price and basically the negotiation included some credit for our former problem. When we got to our destination we had the same experience as the Armed Forces fella. $25.00 for gas after we had just left the service station filling up as much as the truck would take. Then we got an extra 2 day charge because when we took the truck in Friday evening they had a sign no one would be accepting trucks until Monday. Also making a second trip to the service station to be sure there gas tank was full. Then a dispute over blankets. We didn’t count when we began the trip and he said we were short 4. Believe me they were no prize and no one would want them. As we further unpacked we continued to look for any that we may have over looked. None were with our things. All of this was very costly more than we could afford. But the searing part was the attitude of this young employee who just delighted in piling up the cost. And was so condescending to us as senior citizens. My generous husband said “shame on him” and left paying all the way.

ANOTHER WINEY MILITARY PIECE OF CRAP WHO THINKS THE WORLD OWES THEM A DAM DISCOUNT ON EVERYTHING, THEY GIVE YOU A PAYCHECK DONT THEY? WHEN YOU CASH THE CHECK THAT SHOULD BE PAYMENT IN FULL FOR THE PRIOR WEEK OF WORK DONE, BUT NO, YOU WINEY MAGETS WANT YOUR PAYCHECK / DISCOUNTS ON EVERYTHING UNDER THE SUN AND A PENSION WHICH TRANSLATES TO WELFARE FOR THE REST OF YOUR LIFE,,, BUDGET DIDN’T DO ANYTHING WRONG, YOU WERE TRYING TO PULL A FAST ONE OVER ON THEM AT THEIR COST, AND IT BIT YOU IN THE ASS,, YOU OUGHT TO BE ASHAMED OF YOURSELF YOU WINEY PIECE OF SHIT, AND BY THE WAY I’M EX-MILITARY MYSELF AND DONT ACCEPT FREE GOVERNMENT MONEY FOR ANYTHING, IF YOU WANT SOMETHING GO TO WORK FOR IT, MIKE

so I went to pick up my Budget truck that I reserved on line and low and behold it wasn’t there. So I called and they said when you reserve a truck you can’t be guaranteed it will be there. If I wouldn’t have showed up they would have charged me 50 bucks as a no show. So I said I wanted 50 bucks because the truck was a no show. They said it wasn’t their policy but they’d be happy to cancel my reservation. U-haul saved my life on this one. BUDGET TRUCK RENTALS SUCKS !!!!!!!!

Budget truck rental sucks. The guy that handles it here in downtown Charlotte, NC is mean and will screw you over if you let him. I recommend you go with another truck rental company.

Want a bad Budget truck rental experience? just rent one from the guy on South Blvd. here in Charlotte NC. He is rude and a real asshole. They charge way too much money for boxes and shipping supplies – I found you can get these same boxes for free through Freecycle.
