The other day I took my kids to a NBA game and while we were there I bought my kids Dippin Dots. They wanted ice cream, but this was the only thing that was available. When we went up to the Dippin’ Dots cart, they had a variety of bulk Dippin Dots. It was rather pricey, but it was worth every penny I spent.
Some of the flavors they had were rainbow, strawberry, cookie dough, banana split, vanilla, mint chocolate, cotton candy, and chocolate. I had never had Dippin Dots before that night, but I thought it would be cool to try them. My kids had ordered banana split and mint chocolate, while I had ordered the cookie dough flavor.
The cookie dough was out of this world. The vanilla Dippin Dots mixed in were absolutely delicious. The Dippin Dots are a weird texture because of how cold they are kept and because they are little beads. The cookie dough flavor also had a lot of chunks of cookie dough throughout it. It was amazing and would buy it again.
I had tried my kid’s flavors and the mint chocolate was ok. It wasn’t a favorite because it was mint and chocolate Dippin Dots combined. I would much rather actual mint chocolate chip ice cream than this flavor Dippin Dots. I would not recommend this flavor to anyone at all.
My other son had banana split flavor. This flavor was delicious tasting and was a true banana split. It had vanilla, strawberry, chocolate, and banana Dippin Dots within it. This would be another flavor I would recommend to anyone.
My experience with Dippin Dots was amazing. The creation of these “Dots” is genius. The crazy texture is awesome and was a neat feeling in your mouth. I just wish you were able to buy Dippin Dots at your local supermarket. I guess since they need to be kept at subzero temperatures, then it would be hard for supermarkets to sell them.
I would recommend everyone to try these delicious “Ice Cream” dots. They are out of this world!
