Are you always looking for better deals online than you can find in stores? I recently went online to find a few books that I have been wanting for awhile. I looked around on a few different websites, including, Ebay and Amazon. I finally decided to order the one book “The Time Travelers Wife”, from Ebay.com. I checked several different postings on the book to make sure I was getting the book that was in the best shape.
I bought one that was $3.50, and the seller had written that it was in perfect condition, practically new. When I received the book, however, it had a tear in the upper left corner on the cover of the book and had definite wear and tear from being read. I was kind of disappointed seeing how the seller had told me it was in perfect condition. I’ve decided that I will not buy books online unless I see pictures of the exact book that I will be buying.
I do not like Ebay very much because the sellers rarely put pictures of the actual product that they are selling up online. I also don’t like that the seller is the one that determines the quality of the product. They can sell someone a product that they state online, is in perfect condition, but when the buyer receives it, it is in terrible condition.
My friend has also told me that she has bought something off of Ebay and never received the item at all. That is another negative about Ebay.com, you may purchase something and give the seller all of your information, but you may never receive the product. This can change people’s minds completely about ever going to Ebay.com.
So I highly recommend you going to Amazon.com if you want to buy it online, or just buying the product at the stores for regular price, even though you may be able to find it cheaper online!

eBay’s customer service (if you can even call it that) is some of the worst on the planet. Their agents are useless, inflexible, unaccommodating robots. I have 223 transactions to my name and 100% feedback, and they have refused to help me on numerous occasions. After trying to resolve yet another problem with the site this morning and getting nowhere, I told the agent I will never sell on eBay again. Her response? “Okay.” I’m not kidding. It’s unreal. I don’t usually have problems when I buy on eBay, but sellers – watch out. There are so many hidden (yes, literally hidden) rules they have, and if something goes wrong with your listing and you didn’t comply with one of these hidden rules, you are screwed and it’s all your fault. You learn about these hidden rules when they refuse to help you and tell you that you didn’t follow some silly guideline that is indicated nowhere on the site. When you tell them the guideline isn’t indicated anywhere on the site, they don’t care. It’s insane. From now on, I’ll sell only on other auction sites and Amazon.
I’m sorry, but how stupid do you have to be to blame eBay for something over which they have no control? eBay is NOT an online store; they maintain no inventory and do not sell anything. They are merely a portal for people to sell things.
To swear off buying from eBay sellers after ONE bad experience is to only show your own ignorance and small-mindedness. I have personal bought hundreds of items through eBay, and only two or three times have I had a bad experience. When those bad experiences have happened, I have contacted the seller to resolve the issue.
In addition to your total inability to understand the fundamentals of eBay, you complain about sellers not posting photos of their items — DON’T BUY FROM THEM IF YOU DON’T LIKE THE WAY THEY POST THEIR ADS. No one is holding a gun to your head to make these purchases.
As for your stupid friend who bought something and never received it, all you have to do is file a claim with eBay saying you never received the item, and you will get all of your money back. Very simple, very straightforward. If you’re not intelligent enough to be able to handle that, then I suggest you leave the computers to the grownups and stick with buying things are your local trailer park garage sales.
