For the past week my girlfriend has been sick with a sore throat, cough, and nasal congestion. I have been trying to prevent myself from getting sick by drinking a lot of vitamin C. I have been drinking a lot of orange juice, but I wanted to find something else to help keep my immune system up. I went to Wal-Mart a few days ago and I found a product called Emergen-C.
When I got to Wal-Mart I could only find one flavor for the immune defense kind. The flavor was ruby lemon honey and I didn’t think that it would be that bad so I decide to buy it. It is said to have 1,000 mg of vitamin C and also has enhanced zinc to increase your immune system.
When I got home I immediately went into the kitchen and I got the 4-6 ounces that is said on the directions. I then poured one of the packets into the water and as I was pouring the powder, it created a cloud from the powder. I started to breathe some of the powder and it was absolutely disgusting. I almost vomited from breathing it in and I really didn’t want to drink it after that but I needed to.
When I went to see what it smelled like, it smelled like that nasty powder cloud that happened as I poured it into the glass. It didn’t taste like the ruby lemon honey like it had said on the package. When I then took a sip of the drink, it was not going to be a pleasant drink. I couldn’t sit there and just leisurely sip the Emergen-C, so I plugged my nose and downed the rest of it.
I have found that the Emergen-C has really helped me fight off any bacteria or infections. I didn’t enjoy the taste or smell of the Emergen-C, but it surely helped keep my immune system strong. I would highly recommend this product to anyone that may feel that they are getting sick or for anyone that wants to prevent them from getting sick.
I was able to buy a box of Emergen-C from Wal-Mart and it included 30 packets. The price I thought was rather high and was just over $10. It included 30 packets, but I thought that was a little high for a preventative medication. Although the price was high I still bought it.
I have been taking two packets daily for the past 3 days and it has helped me from becoming sick. I had started to feel a sore throat coming before I started taking the Emergen-C and I have not had that symptom since. It has been worth my $10 and I am still running strong and will continue strong! If you need to keep your immune system high, buy Emergen-C!!!!
