I went to Friendly’s the other day with my two friends. When we arrived, there weren’t a lot of people in the restaurant. The hostess had told us that it would be about five minutes till we would be seated and I thought to myself there is no one here. It really only took about three minutes so we weren’t too bothered about waiting.
When we were seated by the hostess, we were given menus to look over. We sat around talking and catching up on life because we hadn’t seen each other in several months. As we were looking over the menus, we still weren’t greeted by a waiter or waitress. It had been about 20 minutes since we were seated and we still didn’t have anybody ask us what we wanted to drink. I then got up from the table and went back to the hostess stand and asked them if we were going to be greeted by a waiter/waitress. The hostess told me that she was sorry that no one had come over and would get a waitress to come over.
After another 10 minutes had gone by, the waitress had come over and greeted us. When she had asked us how we were doing, it seemed like she hated her job. Her attitude and customer service was horrible! We were all very annoyed at this point, due to waiting roughly 1/2 an hour just to get our drinks. She had asked us if we wanted more time to look over our menus and I had just laughed inside my head! We then ordered our food, in which took about another 20 minutes to be delivered to our table.
When she had brought our food out, she had messed up two of the orders. I had asked for my burger to have neither onions nor tomatoes, and they both were on my burger. The other mistake was my friend had ordered a salad and it was never brought out to the table. We were so annoyed that we just finished our meals and asked for the check. If it wasn’t because we were so hungry, we would have definitely gotten up and left. The customer service was absolutely horrible, and we waited about an hour for our food. I wouldn’t recommend Friendly’s if you are looking for a peaceful meal out!!
Friendly’s has great chicken pot pie and I have always loved their big ice cream desserts – I’m sure they’re not very healthy for you.

This isn’t typical of the Friendly’s my family typically eats at, and the only time we’ve had a wait that long was on a busy Saturday night. The employees actually seem to enjoy their jobs and our food and service are always great. (Although a waitress DID drop my burger on the ground once, she had tripped and they got me a new one. Things happen.)
I’d try a different Friendly’s at least once.

I ordered take out with my friend from there a couple times. One time, they gave me the skinny onion rings when I wanted the jumbo fronions and they put our sides in the wrong containers. They also forgot our dip. It seems like they always mess up the orders.
