If you’ve been paying attention to the news than you probably are ready no that there are numerous states that have made medical marijuana legal to those with a doctors prescription or similar medical marijuana card. California Gov. Arnold Schwarzenegger to sign legislation to make it so that anyone caught with less than an ounce of cannabis in California will not be prosecuted. If you want to keep up with the current happenings in cannabis and marijuana then you need to check out this website FriendsOfCannabis.com.
It is a blog all about the latest news happenings mostly relating to legalization of cannabis and celebrity arrests for possession of marijuana and similar. If you look at it now Lil Wayne just got out for marijuana and gun possession. Rapper Wiz Khalifa was just arrested in North Carolina for possession of marijuana because apparently his tour bus reeked of pot and the cops decided to investigate – don’t the cops have better things to do?
Anyway, if you’re wondering about whether your state is currently pursuing medical marijuana legislation, or total legalization as California tried to do, then a good place to start is the FriendsOfCannabis.com website. It’s also interesting to see all the stars that are pro-marijuana scrolling on the left of the website. They’re all on there from Paris Hilton to Britney Spears to Jack Nicholson and more.
As anyone with half a brain knows marijuana is far less harmful than alcohol so there is actually no reason marijuana should be classified as such an illegal drug. Is that she classified as worse than cocaine. They say it is a starter drug that gets people into heavier drug use. I think alcohol is a far worse drug then marijuana could ever dream of being.
The website also has lots of links to organizations and support groups all over the United States and Canada. This is a great place to find organizations and groups reconvene people with similar interests whether they be growing cannabis, smoking marijuana and getting high, etc…
just be careful with these organizations and meeting groups as narcs and police tend to pay heavy interest to these meetings and associations. Even in states that are more understanding and lenient towards personal marijuana use, you still need to be on alert as no one needs a misdemeanor and court fees. I still think these police need to find some better to do like finding real criminals that cause real crimes.
Pot smokers, for the most part, are harmless teddy bears. They don’t get violent and aggressive and drive drunk like alcoholics do. I am awaiting the day where marijuana becomes legal in all 50 states in the United States. That will be a great day! Until then I will be checking FriendsOfCannabis.com for the latest news related to cannabis and marijuana use.
