I used groupon and let me tell you the best part is that 20% of the people that buy into your deal never use it. That’s free money! Its like gift certificates at Walmart or Home Depot that are never used. The store keeps the money. I love Groupon!

ETAILERS BEWARE: Groupon is a a parasitic, opportunistic bully of a company. We did several deals with them in several markets only to have them stab us in the back by going to our biggest competitors and using us as leverage to squeeze money losing offers out of them. Yes, they deliver customers but in our experience most are cheap customers who are looking to spend as little as possible money with us. Be very careful when dealing with them. Don’t let them bully you into creating offers that will lose you money! They have no problem approaching your biggest competitors. Make no mistake about it, they don’t care about you or your company- they just want to take all your profits and run on to the next opportunity leaving you to deal with their cheap penny pinching customers.
Try going to LivingSocial instead- they offer more generous terms and they don’t make you wait 60 days to get paid!
With a business model that any first year college student can copy, greedy opportunistic business practices, and questionable business morals I look forward to seeing Groupon burn to the ground as more reasonable and less greedy competitors come to the market.
