I first found out about Harbor Freight Tools from the back of a Handyman magazine. They had a couple of tools featured with some really low prices. So I went online to look at their site andfound out not only do they have great prices but they also have a store located 5 miles from my house. That’s really cool.
So I took my kettle of them went to their store and they really do have some really great prices on everything you could possibly imagine. It is a handyman’s paradise and they have everything from gardening equipment to shop equipment to pressure washers even go carts for kids – yes my kids actually love this store because it has minnie bikes, go carts, remote-controlled helicopters and planes, dinosaur puzzles and all kinds of gadgets and gizmos – and they’re all it really great prices – actually unbelievably low prices, to be honest.
For instance I went to the Smithsonian Museum in Washington 30 years ago with my father and I got up also would dinosaur puzzle and it was nine dollars back then. Now, today, in 2010 at Harbor freight tools the exact same kit is $.99! Try and beat that! They ever tractable dog leashes for half the price you would find that Wal-Mart, pepper sprayed gas for if you have to be out late at night, all sorts of kites for the kids, and of course millions of all sorts of tools, power tools and more.
And they have big namebrand items like Pittsburgh tools (which is equivalent to Kobalt tools at Lowe’s) and others. The nice thing with Harbor Freight is that you can get these tools for about half or even less than what you would pay for the equivalent tools at your local big-box stores like Home Depot and Lowe’s. I don’t know about you but I like to save money and where I can and with Harbor Freight I save big on every purchase I make.
Harbor for a is a great resource for just about anything you might need to fix plus it’s got some really cool stuff that you will definitely want to see anyway. Like trickle solar chargers for your car’s battery so it’s always kept at the optimal charge regardless of how long you park it for – this is really great to go on a lot of business trips and leave your car frequently at the airport parking lot for long periods of time. They even have utility trailers bike rack hitches for mounting your bike to the back of your SUV or car, utility trailers of all sizes even a 1/2 ton pickup truck crane that you can mount right in the bed of your truck.
Harbor freight is a great resource and they’ll send you a free catalog periodically which shows all their items and the sales that they are having if you just go to their website at HarborFreight.com. I highly recommend them as a tremendous resource.

The kit you saw 30 years ago for $9.99 was probably made in the USA by American workers. The one now at HF for 99 cents was made in China, Vietnam or Pakistan by non-American workers.
