I highly recommend the entire Hefty One Zip product line from freezer bags to sandwich and storage bags! They are simply amazing and so much better then anything else out there!
I’ve used Wal-Mart brand freezer and sandwich bags for years because they are the cheapest. I have also used other brands over the years but have only recently used the Hefty brand One Zip freezer and sandwich bags. Let me tell you, compared to the Wal-Mart brand bags the difference could be measured in light years.
The Hefty one zip bags close correctly every time. This is one thing that I absolutely hated with every brand of sandwich and freezer bags out there. Some have color indicators to tell you that it hasn’t sealed, but that doesn’t mean it’s good to make it any easier to seal it. Especially if your hands are greasy from working with raw chicken like when marinading and with other foods. Your hands can get very slick and slippery or sticky and it can make it almost impossible to close some of these other bags.
That’s not really a problem with the Hefty One Zip bags. You can actually close using the one hand and you know it’s closed. That’s the best thing. See, half the time you put these bags in the freezer or in the refrigerator and you think that their sealed but they’re not. So you end up with freezer burn or food that goes bad.
With the Hefty One Zip freezer, sandwich and storage bags you know that your food is closed and complately sealed every time. Yes, they are more expensive and cost about twice the price of the Wal-Mart brand bags, but just the fact that I know that they’re easier to use and I’m not wasting food anymore by it going bad makes it worth every penny.
I use these bags for everything. They also make great storage for small bolts, nuts, nails, specialty drill bits and more. The Hefty One Zip freezer bags are really sturdy and can be used for just about anything. They’re great for storing your kids crayons, markers, colored pencils, erasers and more. I highly recommend the Hefty One Zip bag series. If you’ve never tried them then I suggest you don’t start with the freezer bags and give it a try. You’ll fall in love with them just like I did.
