This past week my wife and I have been looking at new bed sets for our brand new bed. We were able to find a bedroom set from Rooms to Go and now we really wanted a comforter set that went along with it all. We were going to go to Wal-Mart to get one because they are really cheap, but the quality of the fabric is horrible.
The fabric is rough and scratchy to the point when slide on the sheet, you get a burn on your skin. So that made Wal-Mart not a possibility to buy from. You really have to be careful with price versus comfort and quality when shopping. We decided before we headed out to the stores that we would check to see what stores had online.
We looked at Kohl’s and found a bed set that we loved, but it was way too expensive and out of our price range. We then looked at JCPenney.com and found one that was at Kohl’s but was half the price. It was a perfect match and find so we decided to go to our local JCPenney which was located about 30 minutes from our house. It was quite the drive but it was a pattern that we loved and really wanted it.
I then searched around the internet to see if I could find a coupon that we could use to save some more money. I had found a 20% off coupon and it would save us little under $30 which would help pay off the sales tax. We were very excited that we would be able to get a bed set that day and didn’t have to go search around store to store.
I had then looked on JCPenney.com to see if it was an online exclusive or if it was able to be bought in the store. I had to do this because it seems like everything online can only be bought online and then shipped to you within 7-10 days. The bed set didn’t say it was an online exclusive so we were in very good shape.
We then drove all the way to JCPenney and headed to the bed and bath section to look for the set. We looked all over the section and couldn’t find the bed set anywhere. We were very upset because we had driven all the way out to this location to buy this set. We had then located the woman working within this section and had asked her for some help.
We had told her that we had found a bedset online and it said that we could find it in the store. Her response to us was that all stores don’t carry the same amount of inventory and they didn’t have it. We were very upset with this because she told us that we could try another store which was an hour from where we were.
We were so upset that we just went next store to Belk and found the same print once again but it was a better price. I was able to use a 15% off coupon that I found on my iPhone online which brought the price even lower. It worked out perfect in the end after I left JCPenney and went to Belk! No more shopping at JCPenney for me!!!!
