Last week I was online doing some shopping at OldNavy.com for some different clothes that I found on sale. I had found a pair of boat shoes that were on sale for $14.99, a pair of jeans, and a couple of shirts as well. The only reason why I was on their site instead of being in the store was because I don’t have an Old Navy store near me. The closest one is an hour away and is now worth the gas especially since its almost $4 here in New York.
When I was online shopping, I had found a 10% off coupon that I was able to use on my purchase. I was really excited because I felt like I really got a great deal on all the clothes I bought. It didn’t take me too long to find what I was looking for and before I knew it I was all checked out ready to wait for my package.
I had received a confirmation email of my order and then received a FedEx tracking number the following day for my package. As I tracked my order online, it stated that it would be here in a week. It actually came a day early, which was awesome. As I was tracking my order for the last time, I looked at the items I bought to see if the prices had changed at all.
When I looked, I had found that a couple of the items I bought had changed and actually went down in price. I was really annoyed buy this because I had bought the items on sale, but I guess that wasn’t a great sale price after all! I decided to call the customer service number that was on my receipt and ask if they did any type of price matching.
When I called the number, the representative was really nice to me and had asked me for my order number. I had told him the reason for calling and he said he would take a look at my items and the order as a whole. When he looked at the order, he told me that Old Navy will give you the difference if any of their items decrease in price up to 14 days I believe he said.
I was glad to hear that I would get my money back, but the news didn’t stop there. HE then proceeded to tell me that since I had used a 10 % off coupon code that I wouldn’t be able to receive the difference in prices. It was a total difference of $25 and the 10% only took of around $4. I didn’t even care about the $4 and I said he could take the 10% off coupon back because that didn’t do crap for me.
I don’t agree with Old Navy’s price difference policy and I don’t plan on returning to OldNavy.com. I am actually happy that they are not located near me because I wouldn’t want to deal with a crappy company. I just sent my order back and Old Navy can give me my money back!
