I ordered some pizzas from Papa John’s for the guys at halftime during the football game on Sunday. I ordered three supreme pizzas and one half pepperoni and half cheese pizza. I love the supreme pizzas from Papa John’s Pizza but I also like to change it up every oncen a while with soextra cheese, pepperoni, sausage and peppers or onions. I ordered my pizza from the store on South Tryon here in Charlotte North Carolina. It took me about 15 minutes to get to the store and they said on the phone when I ordered it that my pizzas will be ready in 15 minutes.
Apparently when I got there they were so busy and backed up that my pizzas weren’t ready and it was good to be another 10 to 15 minutes. So to make up for the delay they’ve made it so that two of my pizzas were free! So I got for pizzas for the price of two supreme pizzas. And one of the free pizzas was supreme and the other one was the half cheese and half pepperoni pizza. That’s awesome! I didn’t even ask to be compensated for the extra 10 to 15 minutes.
The person behind the counter, whom I assume was the manager or assistant manager because he was deathly older than the others making the pizza and the delivery people, was very nice and just said right out that they were going to basically comp me the two pizzas for the inconvenience. He apologized and said that they were just slammed with all the pizza orders for the football game halftime.
And he wasn’t kidding they were making pizzas like mad. And the delivery guys just kept coming in and out carrying big stacks of pizzas in those containers that are supposed to keep them hot for delivery. It’s no wonder why Papa John’s has really good pizza and they definitely aim to make things right with their customers as they did with me.
When I got the pizzas home they were all great and there were no complaints – I of course never told the guys that I got the pizzas for basically half off. So all in all I made out pretty good when they all chipped in to pay for their parts of the pizza!
