Last week I had looked over my Verizon Wireless cell phone bill and I was completely shocked. I have 700 minutes on my family plan in which I share with my mother and sister. I had always thought when I bought the cell phone plan that it would be enough minutes for all three lines. When I had taken a look at the phone bill, we were over by 270 minutes and I almost had a heart attack.
I had then looked at the amount that I would have to pay and it was $.45 a minute for every minute that was over 700. It was absolutely crazy to have to pay that much for just going over 270 minutes. I was really upset with having to pay these crazy charges so I quickly looked for an alternate. I had looked around and found a cell phone plan that was offered through Wal-Mart.
It is called Straight Talk and it is a really good deal. I had looked at all the phones the Straight Talk offered and I had found a basic LG phone for only $49. It was basic enough to provide me with my everyday cell phone needs and it was over expensive. The Straight Talk cell phone come with one of 2 different plans.
One plan is $35 for 1,000 minutes and texts, and also 30.mb of data usage for the internet. It also comes with unlimited 411 calls as well. The other plan consists of unlimited texts, data usage, minutes, and unlimited 411 calls. I couldn’t imagine how much money I would be saving with this phone plan. I could have paid a couple months of service with the amount of overage charges that were paid with my Verizon phone.
I only have another month of service with Verizon Wireless, but I rather pay the last month of service and be done with Verizon Wireless and all their crap. I am always wondering what the fine print of all the charges that are being billed really are. There are many times that I have looked at my bill and wondered what an internet charge is or a downloading charge is.
I have had Straight Talk for the past week and have had no complaints at all with anything. The cell phone service is perfect and it works everywhere I have been. I even take it to my parents house where it is latterly a black hole and I actually get service with Straight Talk. I have the options of calling 411 as many time as I want and call whoever for whatever amount of time.
I have to renew the phone with minutes every month, but I have the option of having my credit card on file to auto renew it every month. I haven’t put my credit card on file because I rather be in control if one month I don’t want to pay for the service. It is nice to have the option to pay for the cell phone whenever you want and not have to worry about paying a cancellation fee.
I would recommend anyone to get Straight Talk cell phone service if you want to ensure great quality and flexibility. After all it is only $45 a month for the most expensive plan!
