When I had my baby shower for my son, I received many different outfits and clothes for my newborn son. I was wondering to myself when I saw them, “What happens if he outgrows an outfit before he wears them”? So what do you know, I tried to dress my 8 month old son in a very cute baseball outfit that I wanted him to wear because it was one of the outfits my boyfriend and I had bought him before he was born. I was very upset so I decided to go back to Target for a bigger size.
So then I went last night to Target so I could see if they had that baseball outfit in a larger side. This is where the “fun” starts. I had walked up to the Customer Service desk and the lady was all about attitude. She hadn’t said a single word at all to me until I had to say what I needed to do. She looked at me like I was bothering her or like she wanted to quit her job. I wonder how well they treat their workers?? I started to explain to her that I just needed to get a larger size.
She told me that she would have to look up the price first before I could exchange it. It so happened to be that they had moved that outfit on the clearance rack. She told me that the outfit was on clearance for $4. My boyfriend and I bought it for $15 so we were very upset. She told me that she would have to return it for the clearance price since I didn’t have the receipt.
So she gave me a $4 Target gift card so I could go buy the baseball outfit. When I had gotten to the infant department, they didn’t have any more of the size I needed. So, this meant that I had lost $11 because they wouldn’t just exchange it for me.
I had asked one of the associates that were in the infant department and he told me he would check and see if any other store had this baseball outfit. Go figure, he never returned, so I left the store very upset and aggravated!!
I will never shop at Target because of their poor customer service and their horrible exchange policy! I couldn’t believe they wouldn’t just exchange it for a bigger size.

Dont be so dramatic. That’s why you keep your receipt. How were they supposed to know how much you bought it for? Unfortunately thieves spoil it for the rest of us. If you didn’t have a receipt, then too bad. Again, thieves spoil it for the rest of us. How could they have known if you were a dirty thief or not.

I agree with “duh”. I returned a body wash set I had purchased for $11 to Walmart. Since it was a “seasonal” item and I didn’t have the receipt, they gave me $2. Yup. Anyway, at most stores, you can’t just walk up to the counter, you have to stand by their little rope where the sign says “Please stand here”. Just because an associate is behind the counter with no customers doesn’t mean she’s not busy doing something. You stand by the little sign and when they’re ready, they call you. Just like at a bank.
