Town & Country Fence installation review – I had them install an aluminum fence for my backyard and it looks great!

Town and Country Fence installation review

I had a fence installed several years ago from Town & Country Fence and it still looks brand new and I am very pleased with it!

Several years back my wife and I had bought a house that didn’t have a backyard fence. We had two little children and a puppy so my wife’s request recalled several fence installers and contractors. We ended up using Town & country Fence (108 Manley St. Charlotte NC (704)323-5317) to install a decorative black aluminum fence in our backyard.

We wanted a fence with one gate on the side so we could easily remove the garbage cans for marsh and place them out front on garbage collection days. The men they sent over from Town & Country fence to talk with us and determine the actual size of the yard and fence required was very knowledgeable and nice.

Since they couldn’t locate the rebar that determines the edges of your property they had to have someone else come in and put new rebar down in the corners. This was an expert $300 or so and was not unreasonable. The total price recorded for the fence was around $4000 and they said they could have it done within one to two days.

The next week the guy came over along with the crew of Mexicans and he left them to build the fence for us. The only problem we had was they started putting the gate on the wrong side of the house where would be ineffective because her neighbors had a fence that butted right up next to it.

So I had to go and explain to the Mexican in charge that the gate was in the wrong location. The problem here was that they didn’t speak a bit of English. So I went back in the house and got a pen and paper and had to draw things out for them to understand. Once I started drawing it out for them the main guy in charge understood and corrected the gate and placed it in the right area on the other side of the house.

Other than that the fence installation by Town & Coutry Fence went without a hitch. The fence several years later still looks great and was definitely great investment on our part. The only problems I can say that we’ve had with the fence is that the whole in the door opening mechanism for the gate is too small to put a good lock on it.

Also, the welds that hold on the door lock mechanism for the gate have all busted except for one. So I imagine shortly that will need to be rewelded or fixed. The fence was very well constructed and put together to last for many years. It looks great and it actually looks like it did when they installed it. It still looks brand-new.

A year later one of my neighbors put in a wooden fence and his fence is all faded, grey and warped. It is even falling apart in sections and needs replacing and fixing. His fence is very ugly and basically an eyesore. His wooden fence was installed by another company and was cheaper at just under $2,000, but it already needs to be replaced and so was a waste of time and money in my opinion.

If you’re going to have a fence built on your property and you definitely need to go with black aluminum and call Town & Country Fence. My friends will attest to the fact that it still looks brand-new several years later and only has minor issues that are easy to fix.

I had a big fence put in by some guy off Craigslist. It was done cheap, but the gate doesn’t close right and it looks like the fence is bowed and not straight. I guess you get what you pay for.
