USPS, super rude employees and why I refuse to go to my local post office!

USPS post office mail truck

USPS - where customer service and a friendly greeting are out of the question!

My local mail delivery lady is super sweet and has always been nice. So I didn’t think much of it when I went to the local post office I figured they’d be nice there too, but boy was I wrong. When I got there I was the 10th or so person in line and there was two people working the counter. One was helping customers or more or less being extremely rude to them.

While the other was tidying up his workspace and taking his dear old time. I mean he took so much time doing it they still wasn’t done with it by the time I got up to the front of the line. Maybe that’s the reason why the female clerk next to him was so rude and nasty to all the customers coming in. I don’t know but the whole time I was in line every single customers shw was very rude to.

One of these customers was an attorney that had just served somebody and wanted to send the signed papers to his client. So he unfortunately ended up with the rude and nasty clerk and this was actually hilarious to listen to. He politely asked her which package you should use to mail it to his client in an expeditious and trackable manner.

He had a ready written on one so she told him he had to pay for that one regardless but it was filled out wrong and he couldn’t send that one in. So she made him get another one and fill it out and then made him go all the way to the back of the line. Meanwhile she was making all kinds of comments about him being slow and not knowing what he was doing. He kind of gave her the evil eye, so as to say do you know who I am? Without saying it.

Apparently she did not get that. Instead it only set her off even more. She totally went off on the guy and then when he finally went to the back line anyway she kept going off on him with every single customer. Maybe she was hoping by her doing this that you would just take off and leave, but he didn’t.  Now even though it was initially funny what was going on there wasn’t as it went way beyond where it should have gone, and it actually became abusive from that nasty and rude clerk towards the attorney.

That is unacceptable in horrible customer service and I should not occur anywhere let alone at USPS or your local post office.  This nasty and rude clerk did not care and just kept on going.  I eventually got to the point right had enough and just decided to leave and go to a different post office.  I don’t know why or how USPS employees people like that.

Well, smartypants, where are you going to go to drop off your mail then? No one else does regular mail besides USPS and the post office. UPS, DHL and Fed Ex only do packages and are rather costly I might add. No one can touch the price of USPS. I have never had any problems with my mail and the mail carriers and postal clearks are hardworking individuals and I don’t appreciate this nonsensical rhetoric. Get a life.

Hot debate. What do you think? Thumb up 1 Thumb down 18

Super Rude USPS employee, She was a Supervisor at Chico, California USPO, She closed the early and would not let me in, when I pointed to their own clock which said 5:25 PM, she reluctantly let me in, but was totally RUDE!!! No wonder the postal service is being phased out.

Hello, this is the government stupid. They aren’t known for having nice employees or good customer service. They tend to hire the dreggs of society and you get what you pay for. Even Walmart has better employees and that’s sad!

You are right, USPS does have some pretty indifferent employees. I could probably mail a McDonalds burger and they would just stamp it and send it.

Yes most of the employees at usps are very rude and are even liars. they try to change prices on people and suggest that people pay for the higher mail methods like if you are looking for the cheapest method they will suggest a higher one. They are very vulgar and the only reason they are in business is because its a government monopoly the government can afford giving us lower prices then other companies because they know no one else is allowed to send to mail boxes and also because they are funding usps with our tax money. so they take our tax money and the all our money from sending packages and mail and offer us a horrible mail service that is also very expensive!

UPS AND FED EX ARE TEN TIMES BETTER THAN USPS THEY ARE ACTUALLY RELIABLE AND FOR CERTAIN PACKAGES HAVE CHEAPER PRICES IF YOU SEND BY USPS YOU WILL HAVE A BAD EXPERIENCE AND THERE IS A HIGH CHANCE YOUR PACKAGE WILL EITHER GET LOST,STOLEN OR DAMAGED!

USPS HAS MADE BILLIONS OFF ITS CUSTOMERS AND IT STILL HAS POOR SERVICE AND IT IS NOW EVEN TAKING TAXES FROM CITIZENS BY BORROWING FROM THE GOV WHICH OWNS IT!

Actually USPS does not receive any federal dollars. It would have been great to capture it on a cell phone. LOL, you tube, postmaster general, fox news. Someone could do alot with that. That gives me an idea…….compile a video of the country’s most stupid and rude government employees and sell it on DVD. It wouldn’t be hard to find one to record…..

  9. Cops threatened arrest for blogging about usps carrier harassment on May 8, 2011 at 1:12 AM

My mail was lost/stolen/returned/vanished/damaged so I blogged about it. The postal woman bend over every time she saw my husband so I posted a picture of her back when she bent over. The woman went to the local precinct and a detective called my unlisted private cell phone threatening to do an arrest if the posting weren’t immediately removed and the picture taken down. A week later I got a visit from the postal police making the same demands and unwilling to investigate my lost/stolen/returned/damaged/vanished mail. However, I’ve found countless postings about the same issues with the post office all over the Internet and I haven’t found one person who has been forced to remove these postings. It is clear that the detective and postal police agents are violating my constitutional rights by making such demands and have become accomplices of whoever is stealing our mail and of the postal worker harassment activities. Any suggestions about this issue?

Get the detective’s name and call his police chief. If they refuse to do anything, then call a lawyer and ask him what your legal rights are concerning this incident. If there is no law that you are violating then you have the right to leave that on your website. And if that crazy bubble headed cop calls again, give him your lawyers phone number and refuse to talk to the cop again.
