I am sick and tired of dealing with Wachovia’s ATMs. In the past week I needed to deposit money in to my account and it was after 5 o’clock so they were closed for the day. I decided to try the deposit option they feature on their ATMs. When I went the first time it seemed pretty easy.
All you do is put your card into the ATM, put your pin in, choose the deposit cash button, then put your cash into the ATM. WRONG. I had about $34 I was depositing and didn’t think it would be a huge deal. When I placed my money in the machine it started to count the money but then stopped. It then stated that it recognized metallic and said it couldn’t deposit my money. I had no clue what the heck it was saying to me.
I then took the cash that it spits out at you and tried putting the money into the ATM to see if it would work correctly this time. It once again said that it contained metallic substance and couldn’t deposit the cash. It really pissed me off because it is supposed to be a convenience for Wachovia customers, but in the end it is a huge hassle. I then had to wait till the next day and go inside to the teller.
The next experience was yesterday when I tried depositing about $75. I placed the money into the ATM like the first time and it started counting the money and then told me that it couldn’t deposit my cash and spit it out. It wouldn’t tell me a reason and just sent it back out. I thought it was because a couple bills weren’t fully “crisped/flattened” out fully. I also had put all the bills facing one another to make sure that wasn’t the problem.
When I placed the cash back into the ATM it started to count the cash and then completely stopped. It sounded like it was finished and was finalizing a total, but I was wrong once again. The ATM started making a loud noise and displayed a message on the screen saying that the depositor was jammed. It also stated to enter in the amount of the deposit and I had entered it into the ATM.
I never knew it would be such a hassle to deposit some cash into the damn ATM. I wouldn’t recommend anyone to use this deposit feature on any of the Wachovia ATM’s. Just wait till the next day when the bank is open and go to a teller where you can guarantee your transaction to be done correctly and quickly. Can Wachovia fix these problems please because it is annoying to be able to get out of work on time to make it to the bank before it closes.
